This Privacy Policy explains how Pawsho (“Pawsho”, “we”, “us”), operated by Quizzy Edtech Services Private Limited, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pawsho mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”).

The short version: everything you log about your dog stays private to you. You can export it any time, and we don't sell your personal data.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details — your name and email address when you sign in with Apple or Google.
Your dog's profile — name, age, breed or mix, size, weight, photos, source, and the things you tell us are on your mind.
Care logs & check-ins — the daily mood, health, grooming, and care entries you record over time.
Messages to the Ask assistant — the questions you ask and the context shared to answer them.
Support & survey responses — including how you heard about us, if you choose to tell us.

Information collected automatically

Device & usage data — app version, device type, and basic interaction data used to keep the Service reliable.
Notification tokens — if you enable push notifications.
Approximate location — only if you grant permission, used to surface nearby services and maps. You can revoke this any time.
Purchase data — subscription status from the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your full card details.

2. How we use your information

To build your dog's profile and personalize care to their breed, age, and life stage.
To power daily insights, reminders, and the Ask assistant.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
To send you notifications you've opted into.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Pawsho, under contracts that limit their use of it:

Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting.
AI provider (Anthropic) — processes your Ask messages to generate responses. Your conversations are not used to train their models.
AI provider (Google) — reads documents you scan (such as vet records and invoices) to extract the details you asked us to log. Your documents are not used to train their models.
Apple App Store, Google Play & RevenueCat — to manage subscriptions and purchases.
Sign-in providers (Apple, Google) — only to authenticate you.
Vercel — hosts this website and provides its privacy-friendly visitor analytics. The analytics are cookieless and aggregate: no cookies, no persistent identifiers, and nothing that identifies you personally.

These are the providers we rely on today. We engage other service providers from time to time to operate Pawsho, always under the same contractual limits on how they may use your information, and never to sell it.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

If Pawsho is acquired

If Pawsho is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the successor as part of that transaction. This is a business transfer, not a sale of your data to a third party, and it does not change the commitments in this policy: the successor will remain bound by this Privacy Policy for information collected before the transfer, unless and until you are given notice and, where the law requires it, asked for your consent. We will post notice on this page, and email you if we hold your address, before any transfer materially changes how your information is handled.

4. Your rights and choices

Access & export — export your dog's record from the app at any time.
Correction — edit your profile and logs directly in the app.
Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
Permissions — control location and notifications from your device settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA), you may have additional rights. To exercise any of them, email hiran@team.pawsho.com.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your dog's record and continuously improve our protections.

7. Children's privacy

Pawsho is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for these transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
